Grades K-5! Help us celebrate spring by cooking up a felt picnic! In this hand sewing class, we will be making all food-themed projects, including embroidered fruits and vegetables, felt-topped pizza and tacos, and of course many sweet treats that look good enough to eat. (Don’t forget to bring a snack in case our creations make you hungry!) From simple mending all the way to intricate embroidery, hand sewing is a wonderful way to add detail or do finishing work that a machine can’t always do! We will be learning multiple types of hand sewing techniques, from the basic whip stitch, to buttons, to embroidery. This class will build fine motor skills, finger dexterity, and most important, it will give their creative muscles a workout! Students will start with a simple prerequisite project and then move at their own pace to more exciting and challenging options! Outdoor: Classes will take place at Cowen Park. Please review our Policy page for important information prior to signup. Full, half, and partial scholarships are available. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information!
