Tuesday: Hand Sewing

Grades K-5! 4:00-5:30: 9/17, 9/24, 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12, 11/19, (NO 11/26) 12/3, 12/10, 12/17- 13 Classes From simple mending all the way to intricate embroidery, hand sewing is a wonderful way to add detail or do finishing work that a machine can’t always do! We will be learning multiple types of hand sewing techniques, from the basic whip stitch, to buttons, to embroidery. This class will build fine motor skills, finger dexterity, and most important, it will give their creative muscles a workout! Students will start with a simple prerequisite project and then move at their own pace to more exciting and challenging options! Project options, which rotate each session, include crowns, footballs, butterflies, felt food, and more! *Unvaccinated students will be required to produce a negative antigen test on the first day of camp, or at each weekly class. If symptoms emerge, they will need to wear a KN-95 or equivalent mask and to go home early. They will need a negative antigen covid test prior to returning to camp/class. Any student that tests positive for Covid-19 must be symptom free and testing negative prior to returning to camp/class. *
