Students will learn basic hand sewing techniques, from threading needles and tying knots, to several types of stitches, button sewing, embroidery, and beyond. This class will build fine motor skills, finger dexterity, and most important, it will give their creative muscles a workout! Students will start with two pre-requisite projects, and then move at their own pace to more exciting and challenging options. Project options, which rotate each session, include puppets, monster keychains, fruit brooches, stuffies, wallets, and more! *University Co-op students will be picked up from their school at 1:30 and walked to our studio on the corner of Roosevelt and Ravenna.*
